About Us
The Green Pages is a program of the Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo County (ECOSLO), a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization. 100% of the proceeds generated by the ECOSLO Green Pages program go directly towards continuing its 35 year tradition of environmental preservation in San Luis Obispo County. Please visit the ECOSLO web site for information about our other projects or to make a donation to support our work.
Mission
The goal of ECOSLO's Green Pages program is to create a sustainable local economy by:
- Educating consumers about where they can shop for environmentally friendly products and services from local businesses,
- Supporting environmentally friendly businesses in San Luis Obispo County,
- Providing resources for consumers to make more environmentally friendly purchases, and
- Providing resources for businesses to lower their ecological footprint.
Philosphy
Through education and information, ECOSLO's Green Pages will enlighten and inspire consumers to vote with their pocket book and support businesses whose values, with respect to the environment, are consistent with theirs.
